Pls advise on what to do with droping or continuing with course?

right now my average is 50% for 60% of course load (due to bad marks in midterm)





i need atleast 65% or C+ to pass the course





which means i have to get atleast 87% in final


so pls advise what to do, should i continue and put my best efforts to get the grade to pass course or should i drop the course





pls help as i have other courses as well and i am doing ok with thousePls advise on what to do with droping or continuing with course?
If you like the class and need the credits (especially for a prereq next semester) then stick with the class and do what you can to get that 87%.





If I were you I would talk to the professor directly and ask them if there is anything you can do (extra paper or project) that could bring up your current grade (so you wouldn't have to worry about getting such a high grade on the final).





Some teachers are really great if you go talk to them, and WILL work with you. (I was in your boat once where I basically couldn't pass the class with even 100 on the final and the professor guaranteed I'd pass if I got certain grades on the last two grades of the semester. The prof didn't break their promise - I met those grades and the prof passed me.)Pls advise on what to do with droping or continuing with course?
I would judge this depending on how you feel about the course. Since you got bad marks on the midterm do you understand what you did wrong? Was it stupid mistakes, or do you not understand the material? if you don't understand, I would not risk it. If you think it's possible to, but you have to study really hard, I would do it.
A 65% is a C +???? Normally a C + is upper 70%s.





Anyway, whether or not to continue depends on how you are feeling with the material now. Is the final cumulative? If so, did you understand what you did wrong on the midterm and learn that stuff correctly? Do you understand the material that is being presented now or are you totally lost?





It's going to take a substantial effort to get an 87% or above on the final. It can be done, but you really need to buckle down, keep up with the work, and study hard. If you don't make the grade and the course is a required one, you could always repeat it.
