and want to try somewhere different?Can anyone advise a good place to take a 3 year old for this summers holiday? Done Majorca before?
well i went to menorca with my friend and her 8 year old and a 2/3 year and it was really good and the restaurant and bar star were fantastic and all the the restaurants and bars and slides bouncy castles all sorts for them to play on has not got a huge nightlife as such are things to do but not clubby and it is very cheap there hope you enjoy were ever you go.xxCan anyone advise a good place to take a 3 year old for this summers holiday? Done Majorca before?
why not try flamingo land,its a gr8 place for the kids,they would love it,its a big caravan park,and there is loads to do,its near scarbourough,happy holidays.
Why take a 3year on holiday at all? They won't remember it, appreciate it or gain anything from it - wait until the child is older or is it that you want a holiday!
The Algarve coast of Portugal is lovely and the people are very friendly. It's also much cheaper than Majorca and you don't have marauding bands of sex-crazed adolescents roaming the beaches.
Disneyland in Paris is great for big kids and little kids. There is plenty to see and do. I would recommend spending the time booking the different elements of the trip seperately yourself such as travel, accomodation and park tickets as it will work out cheaper than going through a travel agent.
Plus the added advantage is that it doesn't take long to get there,so a small child won't get so restless.
If you get flights direct to Charles de Gaulle airport their is a shuttle bus straight to the park for around 14 EUROS.
I'm guessing you live in the UK?
If you do then a cheap to Disneyland, Paris is always fun. If you're in the US then Disney world.
Anything that isnt too big on scenery and has a lot of action!
France or Waltern on the naze
Golden Sands in Bulgaria is very nice.
Just for 1 week,,
disneyland
scotland west coast
why not Malta or Cyprus//a few years since i was at either but i found them pleasant ! Sliema in MALTA and Limmasol in CYPRUS
What about Greece, its not to far and the beaches are lovely. Plus alot of places do childrens activities.
go to florida where there are tons of theme parks.
I have taken my 31/2 year old son to Salou in Spain twice now as it's great for kids, they have the Port Aventura theme park that is Universal Studio's like in Florida only in Spain!
There were limited childrens rides if they are under a metre tall but the shows were fantatic, especially the western show, get in early as they get busy.
They also have themed hotels and a massive water park next door, hiring a car is great but the public transport is good. It's really reasonable and the beaches in La Pineda down the road from Salou are quieter. La Pineda also have a massive water park with Dolphins etc.
I don't think my son is old enough to appreciate Disney Land yet so I think Spain is the best option, cheaper too! Best deals are booked seperately, xcapewithus.com for apartment or hotel and then flights. We booked 4* hotel in La Pineda all inclusive for 拢500 for the 3 of us (flights were extra).
We're of to Portugal this year, Albureira in the Algarve.
Happy holiday, where ever you choose.

Can anyone advise of a cheap car hire comany in Glasgow?
I'd like to book a car from 27th December to 1st January from Glasgow airport. All the websites I've seen are very expensive at around 拢170 for a basic car. A tiny Ford Ka would do!!Can anyone advise of a cheap car hire comany in Glasgow?
Try enterprise or Europcar, they can do specials,Can anyone advise of a cheap car hire comany in Glasgow?
Arnold Clarke is your cheapest dear. I would book via there website around 拢30 per day but you will have to travel to nearest Garage from airport. Bus runs from airport to bus station in city centre.
Trust the hedgehog I've been to them all.
Take care and have a nice Christmas. HEDGY
The xmas/ new year period is one of the busiest for car rental in the UK, mostly as a result of people returning from overseas to spend time with family.
Your biggest problem will be simply getting a car. 拢170 may seem expensive but if you need a car I'd suggest booking as quickly as possible. To get the bets deal try one of the brokers like ourselves or one of the price comparison sites such as www.comparecarrentals.co.uklipstick color

DO YOUR HOMEWORK RIGHT!!!
its the way to any math teachers heart.I need advise to seduce my math teacher?
OMG. Your maths helped you and let you BORROW a pencil. Wow. Thats his job. All the teachers are supposed to do that. Your no different to anyone else
You might just be yourself, be the best person you can be, and let him observe your work ethic and caring. If you like to volunteer in any way, perhaps you could ask him to be a faculty advisor for you and some friends having an after school club. You are a lot more than your sex appeal, and I hope someone thinks you're awesome for more than your clothes, because you are. IF you're 14 or under, the law says your consent doesn't count, and love generally doesn't do something that will send the one you love to jail (not to mention end his career). If you're of legal age to consent, you'll probably have more luck when you're not his student, and developing a good reputation with him will help him respect you in the future. How do you lend someone a pencil without touching it? You may be his favourite in a fun person way rather than a sexy way, and that's ok. Friends are good to have too.

I need advise on moving?
im plaining on moveing out of my parents house next year but i was told to start buying stuff now so ill have less to buy next year when i actually move out. what type of things should i start buying now to put up for when i move. (P.S. i am a male)I need advise on moving?
wow you sound like me.... about 6 months ago me and my fiance decided to start buying items for our apartment in june. we have bought a lot of stuff and i am glad we are prepared. we bought things like
bathroom neccessities: shower curtain, shower linen, shower mat, trash can, cup, toothbrush holder etc.
kitchen: silver ware, plates, cups, pots and pans, cooking mittens, towels, cooking utensils, etc.
bedroom: blankets, decorations, etc.
mainly buy the small things because it adds up trust me. sace the more expensive items like furniture for the end... UNLESS you find a great deal.
HOPE I WAS A HELP!!!I need advise on moving?
Buy the main things that you will use , like dishes, bedding, towels, microwave, toaster.. and save money fo your furniture, or you'll be making furniture out of pizza boxes ;) The pizza box joke is a long story from my dad, sorry had to say it.
Just chill Mr. male. Decide how much you will spend on each item, and save that much money. You don't want a whole house full of furniture to store and move. You know what you need, look around your house now, and notice what you use. When you do buy, see how many things you can buy at garage sales, you will love it.
Pots and pans,tupperware,kitchen stuff. You will take your bedding most likley,any old furniture in the house our taking with? If you see a rummag sale or garage sale in the summer that has furniture,pick it up. End tables for the living room,lamps,chairs,tables. You can find lots if you keep your eyes open. Think of what you have now,think of a empty house and what you will need on a daily basis.
Depends on how much storage space you have. I wouldn't buy furniture until you know what kind pf place you'll be renting and how much space you'll have will determine what size sofa you'll want. I'd start gathering any and all household items. Someone else said think about the things you use living at your parents. Dinnerware, glassware, silverware, cookware, a toaster, coffee maker. Take a good look in your mother's kitchen. You also need towels and bedding. Be frugal and see how much you can gather this summer at yard sales. Don't forget salt %26amp; pepper shakers!
Besides furniture and bedding?? Bath towels, kitchen towels, cookware, dishes, etc. The rest you can buy when you move.

Hey i love reading Stephen king esp. his younger work are there any authors that you would advise me to try?
If you're into King for the scare factor, then I suggest H.P. Lovecraft (one of King's inspirations), Richard Matheson (I am Legend), and if you get desperate, the lesser quality King-clone, Dean Koontz.
If you like the more supernatural aspects of King's work, I suggest Ray Bradbury (especiialy his short stories), H.G. Wells (same), and more specifically, A Brief History of the Dead, by Kevin Brockmeier.
As a bonus, try some Ambrose Bierce.Hey i love reading Stephen king esp. his younger work are there any authors that you would advise me to try?
I like Crichton- the one who wrote Jurassic Park...I just finished reading Prey for like, the third time. Also, you can try Peter Straub, he and Stephen King co-authored a few books, so you gotta figure he's good if Stephen King thinks he is!Hey i love reading Stephen king esp. his younger work are there any authors that you would advise me to try?
Try reading some Dean Koontz books, if you like the horror type. I love reading them and I highly recommend 'Shattered' or 'The Voice of the Night'. Hope this helps :).
James Patterson, John Grisham, Anne Rule. even though these authors dont make horror books they are really good.
Yes, Bentley Little. His books scare me so much I can't read them before I go to bed.
Clint Barker....i think thats his namelipstick color

I need advise, what does it mean for a woman when they say your uterus fell?
this is so embarrassing but here goes. when i feel my self inside it feels tight and like its surronded by musles, then when i go to the bathroom and i push it feels like my insides are coming out. i am 45 and havent had a menstral cycle for 6 years n been through the change.. this is bothering me and i havent went to get papsmear no insurance some one told me my uterus fell is this bad?I need advise, what does it mean for a woman when they say your uterus fell?
You definitely need to be seen so that a doctor can determine is this is your uterus or something else. This will not get better on its own. If your community has a free clinic, start there. You can often call the Department of Human Services, local churches, etc to find out where the nearest one is.I need advise, what does it mean for a woman when they say your uterus fell?
I think that you need to go to a doctor ASAP!
Yes, you need to seek medical attention before the problem is worse.
Most hospitals %26amp; clinics will help with a payment plan, or even see if you qualify for free treatment.
When a uterus ';falls'; (usually called a prolapsed uterus) the muscles which support it can no longer keep it up in place. It then ';falls'; down into the birth canal. Bearing down, or pushing, like when you have a bowel movement, then pushes the uterus further out. This can be fixed with a simple surgery. Check with your local public assistance office about getting some medical assistace. This isnt usually ';bad'; but uncomfortable. If your uterus stays out though, youhave a risk of infection and damage to the outer lining of it.

Ive been a beauty therapist for 10 years and want to become a lecturer? any advise how to go down this route?
The best way is to go to college to do your beauty teaching NVQ, takes a year I thinkIve been a beauty therapist for 10 years and want to become a lecturer? any advise how to go down this route?
You need to enrole at collage to get a teaching qual.Ive been a beauty therapist for 10 years and want to become a lecturer? any advise how to go down this route?
The best thing to do is to contact your local college and ask them what you'd need to do. A friend of mine is a Cosmetics Consultant and she was approached by a college - you don't necesarily have to have the qualification to start off with I don't think - I'm sure she was going to be able to study as she went along. Give them a a call, our college was crying out for lecturers in that sort of thing.
get a soapbox, go downtown, stand on your box on a corner and start dispensing beauty advice to people as they walk by. you will be sure to get some peoples attention that way.
can't you find colleges that already teach beauty then talk to the lecturers that are already there and ask them how they got to be where they are.
Enroll yourself in beauty/cosmetology conferences, and consult with lecturers there, as they will give you affirmative advise

What good things you have learned after you got married and would like to give advise that to other people?
It may be regarding family relation, health, food, religion, cultural, education anything that you have learned only after the marriage from your in-laws or new environment.What good things you have learned after you got married and would like to give advise that to other people?
only three things ....loving caring and sharing...and before marriage every girl should keep this three thing in mind.What good things you have learned after you got married and would like to give advise that to other people?
This is a broad question, but I will give it a shot.
I have learned that every family is just about the same (overall) and that each person is an individual who dips from their own life experiences. I have learned that most families cover their sins for each other, but will condemn a neighbor for the very same thing. I have also learned that families can be a form of a team, and at the opposite end of the spectrum can also become a form of a vigilante group when riled against an outside influence.
~~~~Marriage is like a pair of scissors, each going in opposite directions but punishing anyone that comes in between.~~~~~
I have also learned that each person in a family plays a different role, and this holds true to almost every family. The 'director', the actor, the joker, the silent one. The helper, the organizer, and the savior, and the evil one.
Each family has it's own complex form of behavior between individuals, I have learned that my extended family is not very different from my own. Where we ';automatically'; love our own, an extended family takes time, as the natural love that exists must be earned over-time.
After being married for 26 years to the same man, keep your relationship as honest as possible. Talk about everything and don't hide anything from each other. trust each other. Remember, your husband ALWAYS COMES 1ST IN YOUR LIFE BEFORE ANYONE ELSE AND YOU SHOULD ALWAYS COME 1ST IN HIS LIFE. We have also learned to keep any problems yaw'll may encounter, out of the family. Getting your family involved will always become one sided at some time or another and can make things worse. Work it out yourselves if at all possible.
If you really love each other, you will both have a wonderful life together.
Marriage is not always easy, and it's not all about sex, but as the years go by, the love for each other gets stronger in every aspect of life.
I am extremely grateful for my husband and yes, we have had some hard times, but we always work out our problems and we work them out together.
Best of luck to you both!
Make friends with your in-laws, even if they are unbearable.
Be open and willing to adopt new traditions/customs, even if they seem silly.
Discuss your child-rearing values before the marriage. Be sure they are the same.
Anything that annoys you now will be magnified by 100 after marriage. Make sure you can live with that and don't expect him to change. On the same note, people DO change on their own. Try to be supportive of new habits, hobbies, etc.
Make sure you LOVE him more than anything. Even a small doubt is surely a one-way ticket to divorce. I'm not talking cold feet, but if you have that one little thing bothering you, and you keep shoving it in the back of your mind pretending it'll be okay, know that it won't.
Say I love you as much as possible.
Choose your battles and say you're sorry even if you're right.
Compromise.
Communicate. Don't let your fights go unreconciled. You'll become resentful. Talk through your problems as they happen. Learn and grow from them.
Know your roles beforehand. Who will work? Joint finances or not? Will anyone stay home if you have a child?
Make sure the sex is good now, if it's not now, then it probably won't improve after marriage. Unless you are waiting...then good luck with that.
Never put another person, be it your sibling, best friend anyone before your spouse.
Don't do anything you wouldn't happily share with him to see on a videotape.
Good luck.
You invited God to the wedding........He needs to be invited to the marriage as well!
Build real genuine intimacy! Build closeness. Sit down frequently and talk things over. Be a good listener. Communicate. Share your feelings. Let your husband or wife know that he or she is the most important person on earth to you.
I've learned that you cannot always be right. It's much better to talk things out than to yell. Compromise is a great word as well as communication. If you keep things 50 50 it's great.
Pick your arguments carefully, don't let the little things cause big fights.
i shuld not have got married
Uuuuuuuuuuuuuuuh
dont do it!!!!!
don't...
I have also learned that each person in a family plays a different role, and this holds true to almost every family. The 'director', the actor, the joker, the silent one. The helper, the organizer, and the savior, and the evil one.
Each family has it's own complex form of behavior between individuals, I have learned that my extended family is not very different from my own. Where we ';automatically'; love our own, an extended family takes time, as the natural love that exists must be earned over-time.
After being married for 26 years to the same man, keep your relationship as honest as possible. Talk about everything and don't hide anything from each other. trust each other. Remember, your husband ALWAYS COMES 1ST IN YOUR LIFE BEFORE ANYONE ELSE AND YOU SHOULD ALWAYS COME 1ST IN HIS LIFE. We have also learned to keep any problems yaw'll may encounter, out of the family. Getting your family involved will always become one sided at some time or another and can make things worse. Work it out yourselves if at all possible.
If you really love each other, you will both have a wonderful life together.
Marriage is not always easy, and it's not all about sex, but as the years go by, the love for each other gets stronger in every aspect of life.
I am extremely grateful for my husband and yes, we have had some hard times, but we always work out our problems and we work them out together.
Best of luck to you both!
Make friends with your in-laws, even if they are unbearable.
Be open and willing to adopt new traditions/customs, even if they seem silly.
Discuss your child-rearing values before the marriage. Be sure they are the same.
Anything that annoys you now will be magnified by 100 after marriage. Make sure you can live with that and don't expect him to change. On the same note, people DO change on their own. Try to be supportive of new habits, hobbies, etc.
Make sure you LOVE him more than anything. Even a small doubt is surely a one-way ticket to divorce. I'm not talking cold feet, but if you have that one little thing bothering you, and you keep shoving it in the back of your mind pretending it'll be okay, know that it won't.
Say I love you as much as possible.
Choose your battles and say you're sorry even if you're right.
Compromise.
Communicate. Don't let your fights go unreconciled. You'll become resentful. Talk through your problems as they happen. Learn and grow from them.
Know your roles beforehand. Who will work? Joint finances or not? Will anyone stay home if you have a child?
Make sure the sex is good now, if it's not now, then it probably won't improve after marriage. Unless you are waiting...then good luck with that.
Never put another person, be it your sibling, best friend anyone before your spouse.
Don't do anything you wouldn't happily share with him to see on a videotape.
Good luck.
You invited God to the wedding........He needs to be invited to the marriage as well!
Build real genuine intimacy! Build closeness. Sit down frequently and talk things over. Be a good listener. Communicate. Share your feelings. Let your husband or wife know that he or she is the most important person on earth to you.
I've learned that you cannot always be right. It's much better to talk things out than to yell. Compromise is a great word as well as communication. If you keep things 50 50 it's great.
Pick your arguments carefully, don't let the little things cause big fights.
i shuld not have got married
Uuuuuuuuuuuuuuuh
dont do it!!!!!
don't...
';If a company requires initial payment from you in order to work for them, they are not legitimate.';
There are a few legitimate data entry companies but are not hiring and have large waiting lists (1-2yrs). The majority of data entry jobs you seen online are scams. A real company will want you to have skills inc fast typing, may want you to know MS Excel, and will usually ask that you have high speed internet. Once in a long while you may found one online on a job website but thats rare.
If you do an advanced search on yahoo, you will find previous answers, sometimes the info on these is good as the info they gave is likely to have been verified if the answer was voted as 'Best'.
I know that there is a list of company that offers work from home jobs there.
I have tried a few different ';work at home'; businesses, and have made the most with my current business. I was VERY skeptical at first, but I'm so glad I gave it a shot. There is a small ';franchise fee'; to get started, but I made it all back within one week. (Heck i can show you a copy of my check to prove it!) This franchise fee is not a gimmick. It is a completely legal and sellable business. Its no different than if you bought a Baskin Robbins, Coldstone, GNC, or Gold's Gym franchise. Know anyone that needs a cell phone but they don't have the credit or money for a deposit? With this company, you can sign people up on a contract with most major carriers with NO DEPOSIT and get paid for it! You will represent multimillion dollar companies such as Alltel, Dish Network, Verizon, GE Home Security, Sprint, Nextel, Ingrid Home Security, AT%26amp;T, Travelocity and many more, and not only get paid monthly on customers bills, but also get a hefty bonus for every person you get to sign up for the business in your downline. No worry about having to ';sell stuff nobody has ever heard of';. Do you really think those companies would partner up with a ';scam';? I made 13x's the amount of money with this in one week than what I made with online surveys, content writing, and other ';online jobs'; in a month of work. Check out the following website and watch the ';Overview';. www.fhtmus.com/msouthards If you have any questions, feel free to contact me at fhtmrep09@yahoo.com
Just remember there are many scams out there. The best way to avoid scams is to follow a simple rule. If it sounds too good to be true it probably is.
I think Affiliate Marketing (Promoting someone Else's product) is the best and least expensive way to make money from home. I have one website
Working out in the first trimester, please advise?
For the past month i have started on a pretty vigorouse work out every other day. It is a body toning arobics work out, and it is pretty intense. On the other days i will take a fast hour walk, or get on the eliptical and do some leg toning excersizes.
And they are all for an hour.
Do you think i need to tone it down, or should i be ok since i have been doing this for a month now and my body is used to it?
I am 4 weeks pregnant, i just found out.Working out in the first trimester, please advise?
i would ask your doctor about this i own 2 three day eventers just in case people don't know what they are they are horses.
i competed up until 6 months pregnant.
my doctor said because my body was so toned up i would be OK as long as i did not fall off,Lol
i was told by the doc that your body can cope with certain amounts of exercise if its used to it but he said unfit people should not start running marathons when pregnant lolWorking out in the first trimester, please advise?
Did you run this question by your doctor when you found out you were pregnant? Excercise is good during pregnancy but I was always told by my doctor not to do anything that is jarring. Such as jumping or heavy weight lifting. I was told to walk and do some swimming for 30 min at least twice a week. Excercise does make labor easier.
You should be asking your doctor about your excercise regimen. Hope this helps.
Edit: Your body secretes a hormone that loosens up your joints in preparation for delivery and to help your body adjust to carrying a baby....just something to have in mind. :)
oh honey you'll be fine for now, you'll know when to stop, when it starts getting uncomfortable for you, then you need to stop, Im 38 weeks now and its kinda hard for me to do alot, because ive gained about 45 pounds so far, but i still get on my treadmil and walk, stay active though, you want to keep your shape for as long as possible and its best for the baby for you to stay active!
i think you should slow it down a little because you could hurt your baby and when you get to the third trimester only do a slow walk nothing else. don't do any sit-ups because you'll get really bad stretch marks and you will hurt the baby and because your only 4 weeks you could kill the baby.
You should be able to do anything that you're accustomed to before your pregnancy, during your pregnancy, as long as you feel up to it. You should always tell your doctor what you're doing so he can help you make healthy decisions for you and your baby.
i would take it easy if i were you, just stick to walking, or maybe swimming. i wouldn't encourage vigourous workout.
i think so
Hello, I'm 20 years old, and I think I might be pregnant. Any advise on what I should do next ?
Should I tell my boyfriend or my parents about this conundrum first?Hello, I'm 20 years old, and I think I might be pregnant. Any advise on what I should do next ?
confirm it,call ur bf ,call ur parent,start taking folic acid,visit a doctorHello, I'm 20 years old, and I think I might be pregnant. Any advise on what I should do next ?
You're going to be fine. Don't tell anyone, except for maybe your boyfriend, before you confirm your pregnancy. There's no reason to ';worry'; your boyfriend or parents if you're not certain. Babies are a blessing, not a condundrum (lol I forgot about that word), you'll be fine. My husband and I got married in the summer of 08, and got pregnant 2 months later. I'll be 21 next week, he's 24. It doesn't matter what kind of situation you're in, it's always a little scary. Don't worry, if you are pregnant, stress isn't good for the baby :)
I think you should grab your closest friend for support and take a pregnancy test. If you are pregnant, you should tell whoever you think will be more supportive first. Don't forget that how you choose to handle your pregnancy is ultimately your decision, but you can lean on your boyfriend, parents and close friends for support while you evaluate your options.
Just as a side note, I became unexpectedly pregnant in August. When I first found out, I cried for two days and seriously contemplated an abortion. I'm now 33 weeks along, finishing my Master's degree a month early and completely delighted about the baby I will soon give birth to. Give yourself a little time to sort out how you feel. Once you calm down, you'll be better able to decide what the best course of action is for you.
Take a home pregnancy test! Whether it does come out positive or negative, I would still make an appointment with the doctor or Department of Health and Human Services come Monday to be 100% sure. Also, until you know for sure whether or not you are pregnant, I would treat your body as it were so as not to harm the baby if you are.
Personally, I would not tell anyone until I knew for sure to not cause any undue drama; however, you know the people in your life best and how they would react and maybe you need support right now. I don't know and it is ultimately your decision.
you sound nervous about what to do, it sounds like this came as a bit of a shock. wel first dont panic because it is not the end of the world. take a test as soon as possible and if it is positive then think for a day or two for yourself, there is no need to rush telling them as it isnt going to go anywhere. just think bout what you want to do as you may panic at first. tell your parents and boyfriend when you are ready, if i were you id tell my boyfriend first because there reaction is usually the worst lol! good luck in the future!x
i suggest triple checking you really are pregnant before you go around giving people heart attacks lol. make sure it's a week after your missed period and if u need to know sooner go to planned parenthood and do a bloodtest. I'm 21 and i'd tell my bf first, that's just me, I'd want his support before I had to face my angry mother. haha Good luck hun!!!
i would tell whoever you feel most comfortable with. i personally told my boyfriend first.l we freaked cried and then decide what to do and how to make the best of the situation....and how we should tell our parents. u need to be able to except it before you ask others too. make sure u know what u want to do! i have by 9month old son who was more 2 days before my 20th birthday and wouldnt have it any other way hes amazing:)
I would suggest not telling anyone until you are sure you are pregnant. Go to a store, being 20 suggests you are capable of that. Buy a test and see what it says. No use telling people and getting them worked up for nothing. If it comes back positive I would tell your boyfriend first.
First, take a pregnancy test before you tell anyone. Once it is confirmed, I would tell boyfriend first, since it is technically both of yours. Then tell parents.
I think you should tell you boyfriend. %26amp; together you tell your parents.
So you are both there and it shows that both of you are together all the way
God bless x
Take a test to confirm it for yourself first then tell your boyfriend. you can tell your parents after that
Your parents and then your boyfriend.
take a test first there is no point worrying them for a false alarm, if you due for your period it should register.
yes im 20 n i jus found out im preggo 2 days ago so yes u need 2 tell every1
Yes, call your parents and tell them that you have officially thrown away any chance of success. Congrats!
Personally, I would not tell anyone until I knew for sure to not cause any undue drama; however, you know the people in your life best and how they would react and maybe you need support right now. I don't know and it is ultimately your decision.
you sound nervous about what to do, it sounds like this came as a bit of a shock. wel first dont panic because it is not the end of the world. take a test as soon as possible and if it is positive then think for a day or two for yourself, there is no need to rush telling them as it isnt going to go anywhere. just think bout what you want to do as you may panic at first. tell your parents and boyfriend when you are ready, if i were you id tell my boyfriend first because there reaction is usually the worst lol! good luck in the future!x
i suggest triple checking you really are pregnant before you go around giving people heart attacks lol. make sure it's a week after your missed period and if u need to know sooner go to planned parenthood and do a bloodtest. I'm 21 and i'd tell my bf first, that's just me, I'd want his support before I had to face my angry mother. haha Good luck hun!!!
i would tell whoever you feel most comfortable with. i personally told my boyfriend first.l we freaked cried and then decide what to do and how to make the best of the situation....and how we should tell our parents. u need to be able to except it before you ask others too. make sure u know what u want to do! i have by 9month old son who was more 2 days before my 20th birthday and wouldnt have it any other way hes amazing:)
I would suggest not telling anyone until you are sure you are pregnant. Go to a store, being 20 suggests you are capable of that. Buy a test and see what it says. No use telling people and getting them worked up for nothing. If it comes back positive I would tell your boyfriend first.
First, take a pregnancy test before you tell anyone. Once it is confirmed, I would tell boyfriend first, since it is technically both of yours. Then tell parents.
I think you should tell you boyfriend. %26amp; together you tell your parents.
So you are both there and it shows that both of you are together all the way
God bless x
Take a test to confirm it for yourself first then tell your boyfriend. you can tell your parents after that
Your parents and then your boyfriend.
take a test first there is no point worrying them for a false alarm, if you due for your period it should register.
yes im 20 n i jus found out im preggo 2 days ago so yes u need 2 tell every1
Yes, call your parents and tell them that you have officially thrown away any chance of success. Congrats!
Need help telling a partner that I have Genital Herpes. Has anyone got any advise?
I have been seeing a man on and off for 2 years. I have only recently found out that I have genital herpes. I've had it for about 6 years from what I can figure. I love this man and don't want him to walk away but I am worried that he will think i've tricked him by not telling him. Any advise?Need help telling a partner that I have Genital Herpes. Has anyone got any advise?
It sounds as if you have been with him for a long enough time that trust must be expected. I know how hard it must be to tell someone something, not only potentially damaging to a relationship, but also a bit embarrising. But the keyword is potenial. If you do not tell him and he finds out, then the relationship ending is definite. I suggest you simply sit down with him, take a deep breath, and without making a BIG deal about it or excuses as to how this happened, simply tell him.
I am sure that he will be a bit confused and taken back, but if he loves you as well, then together things will work out just fine. And if not, and the worst case scenario happens (he leaves) then that may turn out to be the best case scenario since true love stands by you not only at the best times but ALWAYS at the hardest.
Good luck.Need help telling a partner that I have Genital Herpes. Has anyone got any advise?
Just be honest .If he loves you he will stay with you no matter what ,Genital herpes is treatable but so far there is no known cure ,If you dont feel like bringing it up right now just use protection until you feel ready to tell him.,
You owe it to him to tell him the truth, regardless of what the outcome may be. If he truly loves you, too, he'll find a way to work it out with you.
you need to tell him immediately even if you aren't going to have a relationship....it's illegal not to tell him if you have had sexual relations.
Well if you have been with him for that long, he should trust you. Tell him that you just went to the doctor and that you've recently found out that you've had it.
Just be completely honest.
Find out if you gave it to him. If he has it, tell him that you forgive him and just assume it happened early in your relationship. It's not nice - but I think it might work.
tell him you just found out and explain it to him. he needs to know because he will not like you more if he finds out any other way. i say you be honest with him and remain calm and just not worry him too much
You could always say '; I have genital herpies'; Call me crazy, but I bet it will get the point across. Although, you should have already told them.
Yes I do have advice...you are making an assumption (as it seems to me) that you got it from someone from 6 years ago and not from this person whom you like. You could have gotten in from him. You don't know. Therefore, the idea that you tricked him shouldn't even cross his mind. He may be wondering where he got it from and how he gave it to you. Never assume things in life...especially stuff like that...you'll mess yourself up in the head.
just be honest. expect for the worse. there's nothing else you really can do. if he really cares about you he will be supportive.
Herpes: Have you had sex since you found out? Did you use a condom?
If you've done it, you should tell him to get tested, forget the bit about loving him, because you would have told him immediately if you loved him vs. needed him.
If you haven't had sex, then just tell him. If he has been seeing you on and off , whatever that means, he may be on and off with somone else.
What makes you think you got it 6 years ago? That means you probably exposed him unless you wear condoms.
KEEP IT SIMPLE: SORRY, I JUST TESTED POSITIVE FOR HERPES SO YOU NEED TO GET TESTED AND WE NEED TO USE CONDOMS. Period. No more.
Good luck and safe sex.
just tell him if he really loves you he wont leave. mt friend has it and her man will even do her during an outbreak now that's love.
dude-no offence-but no one will ever have sex with u-sorry but it`s the truth-go and see a doctor right now!
your both sharing the disease now anyway. Just tell the man the truth. Whatever occurs from there will be based on the truth, %26amp; not with held truth.
No easy way of getting around that one. Just tell him how much you love him and let him know.
just tell him the truth soon because if you wait a while then you would be hiding it from him
good luck
Start out by saying how you've been looking for a way to love him forever...
Kidding. Have you been nailing him? If so you want to tell him right away. Just give him a call - go over his place and sit him down and tell him what's up. Tell him you just found out, what you know, etc etc. All you can do then is hope.
hurry and tell him...he deserves to know....put the shoe on the other foot ..how would you feel ??? be safe honey
Are you taking any supplements to keep your MS from advancing? Just taking a multi-vitamin and lots of fiber was shown to stop 90% of early MS patients from having the disease progress. This was a study a while back at the University of Oregon.Has anyone with M.S decided not to take medications for it and how have you been doing?What do you all advise.
Can you please tell me where you get these facts from?
My wife was considering drugs but went alternative. She used to fatigue regularly and had a flare up every summer. Since we bought products to make our home a wellness home, my wife has had no flare up in 5 years and has more energy than she used to. She is not jumping off the rooftops mind you but, she has more energy.lipstick color
I'm considering getting a ham radio license....can anyone offer me some advise as to how I shoud start?
Get in touch with a local amateur radio club or organization. Most communities of any size have such clubs. From there they can point you in the right direction. You will need to study and take a test to become licensed. Tests are given by licenced hams who have gone through a course to become examiners.
You can browse the web looking for amateur radio organizations in your area. If you find someone close, email them and ask for help. The community is always looking for new members.I'm considering getting a ham radio license....can anyone offer me some advise as to how I shoud start?
A great book that will tell you everything you need to know for the test and about ham radio is called ';Now Your Talking';. I used it and there is a ton of info in it. Also you can go to http://www.qrz.com/p/testing.p鈥?/a> and take there practice test. I hope it works out for you.
Advise given to organizations that intend to implement Computer Aided Software Engineering?
The best advice I could give to an organization planning to use computer aided software engineering is to hire a professional to do the analysis for you.
Pls i need ur advise quickly bcos this thing happen to my friend,her boss want to have sex with her in the ?
office with plenty people in the environment and he is threating to sack her if she did not agree,pls what can i tell her .Pls i need ur advise quickly bcos this thing happen to my friend,her boss want to have sex with her in the ?
sue him for sexual harassment!!!Pls i need ur advise quickly bcos this thing happen to my friend,her boss want to have sex with her in the ?
Ask her to write a mail or better talk directly to higher management.Keep a voice recorder to tape his voice or get some other evidence if possible.
What a boss I would never want to be like this one.
Her boss has a boss someplace (or maybe a wife).
She needs to go to that person and tell. And maybe even call an attorney. She might be able to quit and still get wages and a ton of money from them.
But she will need proof.
file a sexual harrasment suit? let her earn her quick mil, and take a cut for legal advice, i hear that's apretty hefty fee too :)
Best way to find this out is to check out the state works page:
http://www.jobs.state.ak.us/
then use the local online newspapers, here you can see local job listings as well as housing and other important community info:
http://www.onlinenewspapers.com/usstate/鈥?/a>
Also the Alaska Community Database is a good source of info for different locations in Alaska, many jobs are in place more remote:
http://www.commerce.state.ak.us/dca/comm鈥?/a>
Yes the economy is hurting everywhere, even here. So I would recommend not making the move here without either a guaranteed job or enough savings to live off of or move back with. It will take at least a year to establish residency for the dividend and hunting, so once you get here you will want to start that process ASAP.
Like most places housing comes in many forms from top end high class, to waterless cabins with outhouses and woodstoves. Here local papers are really your best information as to what you can get for what price. And prices vary from location to location so check into that.Advise on living in alaska, best places, work availability for 60+ yr. old?
I am a 54 year old with similar questions. I have met a number of people recently from there. Even though they are having their problems with the economy as well, almost all of them tell me that for work, Anchorage is the way to go. But they advise living somewhere outside of Anchorage and commuting if you want less expensive housing.
It is my understanding that the oil industry is laying people off up there right now.
Hope this helps.
What could have happened if Hitler or Einstein where borne next door?please advise.thanks?
above mentioned names are just examples.in general i mean any man/woman who wsa determind as a light or dark point in mankind's history.What could have happened if Hitler or Einstein where borne next door?please advise.thanks?
If you change such a crucial event in their lives you change the entire outcome of history. Hitler was the sum total of his genetics, environment, experiences and personality.
If you change who his neighbours were you might have changed how he perceived life and dealt with the deprivations imposed on Germany after WWI.
Chances are though, that Einstein being a Jew and Hitler being Catholic (he was a altar boy at one point), they might not have had undo influence in each other's lives.
Einstein was considered slow as a child and might have been ridiculed. Hitler, being a paranoid personality might have had fear and loathing of a Jewish child. You would like to imagine that they would have met and a friendship and understanding would have developed, changing the course of history. I think I'll hold onto that happy thought.What could have happened if Hitler or Einstein where borne next door?please advise.thanks?
What do you mean by being born next door? I'm not following your question.
Hitler went to primary school with Ludwig Wittgenstein. So to answer your question, probably nothing at all.
I don't understand. How is that done and what do they mean when they say that? Alfred Hitchcock I am not...What does it mean when others advise me to add a little '; mystery '; when dealing with women?..................
what they might be saying is try to surprise the woman u like tell her ur going out somewhere and give her a couple of hints be lets her try and guess what ur doing. change up the things u guys 2do 2gether so that she will always be surprised and that will make things way much betterWhat does it mean when others advise me to add a little '; mystery '; when dealing with women?..................
it means don't go blabbing on and on about yourself. make them want to get to know you better, which would then require future contact.
Tell them that you hide a knife and ducktape in your house. That's the perfect mystery.
Question to Black People: can you advise me please similar online stores?
LIKE APPLEBOTTOMS,ENYCE, AZZURE, AKADEMIKS,ROCA WEAR, BABY PHAT, J.LO, G-UNIT
Where do you shop usually?
I like these stylesQuestion to Black People: can you advise me please similar online stores?
In all honesty, you named all the high-quality hip-hop type clothing. Id' just recommend you do a Google search now.
Next time, leave out the ATTN: Black People bit of your question. some may find it offensive.Question to Black People: can you advise me please similar online stores?
Try demo stores, they have everything. :]
Are you suggesting only Black people like those clothes? Cos i must not be black then. You should have put this in the Hip Hop section.
And no i couldn't advise you on similar stores because i don't like any of those. I prefer High Street Fashion, River Island, H%26amp;M %26amp; Topshop.
Besides why go online for these, they have imitations in the market, That's why i hate those brands. All the clothes in the market are imitations of these so i don't see any class in it.
Try returning to your country of origin.
The clothes there have the essence of your culture stitched into them.None of this pseudo-afro-american rip off merchandise.
In africa you can explore the cultural delights of your kinfolk and the wonderful history first hand.
Make sure you take your family with you so that they too can be a part of this enlightenment.
Perhaps there,you can help your fellow africans nobly redevelop your ailing country rather than abandon it and then try to maintain your black culture in another country.
He takes the visitation papers in hand and knocks on the door. He should have a recorder in his hand. He also needs
to keep detailed records of when she violates the order.
He tells her that he is there to pick up the child.
If she says no, he calls the cops and makes a police
You are likely the problem. The ex and his ex wife need to discuss this custody situation without you or her new husband. That is always the trouble. Have those two meet in some coffee shop on a Saturday morning to discuss. Your husband should approach this with ';I wonder if you would help me.....and not be rude or pushy. No mention of you either.
Petition the court system to establish a set visitation. If the court establishes the set visitation and she violates it, he would have legal recourse. Good luck and God Bless.
one package or bottle per load. Then once they're dyed wash them in strong salt water to set the color.I have two seater and a three seater blue loose cover i WOULD LIKE TO DYE THEM NAVY BLUE NEED ADVISE?
I found this answer by a poster with a similar question of a few years ago on Yahoo answers.
There are specific products to accomplish this you would purchase them at a fabric store, a DIY shop or on line. The product will come with all the instructions you need to get the look you want. I would recommend one with a propellant rather than a squirt type as it tends to make a splotchy finish. Take your time and work outside on a warm calm day or in a well ventilated basement or garage. Good Luck!
Why do windows advise me to use a standard user instead of administrator?
It is a safety feature - when you are in an admin account your system is vulnerable as changes can be made/registry can be accessed etc. If you have a trojan being on admin will give that access too.
Normal accounts don't have this access.Why do windows advise me to use a standard user instead of administrator?
Because if you are using an administrator account and you don't know what you're doing, you can seriously screw up your computer. Basically, they're saying every idiot thinks they know what they're doing so they use the admin account. Then they screw things up and they're trying to prevent it.Why do windows advise me to use a standard user instead of administrator?
In case you knacker up the administrator account, then you can still log in and reset everythinghow to apply
Is jermery kyle qualified to advise people on their lives?
I do not know what he is qualified as but he sure as hell grates on me, if I was going through a split with my partner and had all sorts of problems I would rather ask Lassie the dog than that knob.
Lets face it some of the people that go on there are not that bright and have not got the answers to come back at him when he spouts off.
What they need is a guy to go on there and show him for what he is a sham. Imagine listening for about 3 mins and then just asking him who the hell are you. That would be brilliant and could happen.
Ah well lets take a short break when we come back those all important lie detector results. For who.Is jermery kyle qualified to advise people on their lives?
god no, hes a prick. Hes got a cheek to talk about anyones addictions etc, he was a major gambling addict his brother was a junkie and he supposedly cheated on his recent wife. Is he someone you want to take advice from?? He cant judge anyones life.Is jermery kyle qualified to advise people on their lives?
Yes, he has a genius on the show, you know, the little fat chap who is a psychologist and legend in his own lunch time.
Since when did you need a qualification to give advice to people? If someone asks me for advice? Should I say no because I'm not qualified?
yeh he is i think he's brill i know he gets a bit carried away sometimes and goes a bit far but but dont we all he is only human after all cant blame him really sometimes people he gets on the show i'd grill them aswell!
Probably not, he thinks he's a genius and better than everyone but he is a D1ck Head
No he's just a control freak who gets his antics televised.
Jeremy Kyle is a cock, end of! :-)
i think so; must be a clever twat with psychology
jeremy vile is a tosser
55 pounds to lose - Need advise on why I am not losing weight?
I am 1 month postpartum. Was on bedrest for 2 months. Pre-pregnancy weight was 135. I am now 190.
I am not breast feeding so I am choosing a lower carb diet that consists of steel cut oatmeal, blueberries, almonds, cottage cheese, spinach salads, low fat cheese, chicken and limited amounts of complex carbs such as brown rice and whole wheat bread. I have cut out sugar and all white flour. Total calories are 1200-1500 per day
Exercise consists of walking/jogging in 2 min intervals for 30 minutes 5x a day using walk away the pounds walk and jog video. Also, just started Kathy Smith's lift weights to lose weight 3x a week.
Been doing this for 3 weeks but have not lost even a pound.
Because I am so overweight I thought the pounds would melt off in the first couple of weeks and then slow down.
I am already getting discouraged - Any suggestions?55 pounds to lose - Need advise on why I am not losing weight?
Are you losing inches? and using the same scale?
I'm in nearly the same boat (started at 194, also aiming for 135). I'm losing about 1/2 lb per day right now, lost 10 so far.
My plan -
- Eat every 2-3 hours (about 1200-1300 calories per day)
- Basic veggies are free, eat as many as you want (not corn or potatoes)
- No more than 30 good carbs per meal and half as many lean protein (i.e. 30 carbs / 15 protein or 20 carbs / 10 protein) The trainer told me that your body can only process 30 carbs in a 2-3 hour period, and anything over that, goes into storage (fat)
- Include good fat in every meal (olive oil, pb)
- Tons of water (minimum 80 oz per day)
- Treadmill 5 days/week 30-60 minutes depending on how much time I have (I go in the am so nothing can get in the way)
- Light weights every other day
The one thing I wasn't prepared for, is how great I feel. My skin is healthier, I have more energy and I sleep better.
Also, take your measurements. I lost alot in inches first, then the lbs came off.
Balance bars are a great snack. 22 carbs to 15 protein. The best ones are the Peanut Butter, Cookie Dough and Mocha chip.
Also, if you check the carbs/protein counts in your foods you will find an incredible range depending on what you pick.
Hang in there!
You know you can do it.55 pounds to lose - Need advise on why I am not losing weight?
hi Sarah. I went for years trying to lose weight and gained instead. I discovered there were two reasons for this. The first reason was i was diagnosed with type 2 diabetes, so insulin resistance was a problem. You are eating healthy, so it doesn't sound like that is the case for you, but i'd definitely check with a doctor to be sure. The second reason was at times i got no exercise at all, and other times i exercised way more calories off than i consumed. My body assumed i was starving, and my metabolism slowed way down. Now i am very careful to burn no more than 1000 calories more than i consume for that day. I have joined a group on the web called calorie-count.com, and i keep track of my calories consumed and calorites burned every day. I have lost nearly 60 lbs in the last year! The main thing is to not ';diet';...rather, learn to eat healthy foods you can enjoy for the rest of your life. Sounds like you are doing that already. It's more about a healthy lifestyle and healthy choices. If i can do it, so can you! I was 308.8 lbs in July 2006....i am 250 lbs now and still losing.
Breast feeding is good for you and baby. See site below to see how meat and dairy makes you fat unless you buy the organic kind.
Also cutting calories is bad and Harvard U and gov pyramid websites say not to do it. Instead eat differently. Stuff your face full of healthy carbs and fats which helps you burn fat.
Someone who says that carbs and fats are bad for you is like someone saying that black people are bad people and white people are bad people.
Awww dont get discouraged you will start to notice soon .. try to stop thinking about it .. your probably starting to stress out over it and some peopel gain weight when they stress , so stop stressing and have faith that what you are doing is good and healthy and you will loose wieght soon :) Good luck ...
Anyone from Finland? Can you advise me where to go; I want to go for a week somewhere quiet for sauna and beer
Somewhere with no night clubs or too many tourists, that is very relaxing where I can spend every day in sauna and lake and drinking beer and maybe meeting Finnish people who have stories to tell
Somewhere very different from a big city!Anyone from Finland? Can you advise me where to go; I want to go for a week somewhere quiet for sauna and beer
Check out www.lomarengas.fi for cabins/cottages for hire, and they have some farmhouse b%26amp;b accommodation listed too. That way you can stay somewhere in the real countryside..
I would recommend the Etela-Savo region as that is where the lakes are... such amazing scenery there! People in that part of country are usually more friendy and chattier than their western counterparts.. provided they speak English :)Anyone from Finland? Can you advise me where to go; I want to go for a week somewhere quiet for sauna and beer
Then your direction is Lapland, though it's not for you if you don't like reindeer and mosquitoes!!
What size car would you advise for comfort for a Senior citizen?
I would think if it's truly a matter of comfort, I would try several makes
and models on for size. We went from a van to a Chevrolet Taurus
recently. It has alot of comfort. But I don't like having to drop down
into the seat, and then climb out when I get to my destination. But I
wasn't along when it was purchased. Since buying affordable was the
main consideration, there were just so many in our price range at the
used car lots. So the object became a matter of comfort, affordability,
and miles per gallon on then road. That narrowed it down. I think
the comfort took a back seat, to affordability and miles per gallon
and general condition of the vehicle.We don't have to worry about
making payments and we're not worried about the cosmetics it
could possibly use. It gets us to and from in good comfort and it's
not a gas guzzler.What size car would you advise for comfort for a Senior citizen?
I second the Toyota Rav4 or a Ford Escape....they're about the same size ( not too big %26amp; not too small ) and like the other answerer said easy to slip in and out of because they are a bit higher up. It also works out nicer for groceries or bags in the back - no need to bend over.What size car would you advise for comfort for a Senior citizen?
I have a stylish new car that is smallish but ok. It has lots of bells and whistles. But when it came to trading in my old Lincoln Town Car, I couldn't let it go. So I kept it. When my relatives come to visit and we need to do some driving, I unleash that old town car and here we go. It's roomy, comfortable, and still looks like new. It has a/c in the back and comfy seats. I drive my new little sporty looker around town but that old Lincoln is like a comfortable, broken in old recliner. I guess I'll keep it forever.
I think a full size four door sedan would be more comfy for people as they get older. I like the Honda Accords %26amp; the Nissan Maxima. A full size car is so much easier for people to get in %26amp; out of, especially if they have Arthritis or physical health issues.
well good question an suv is usually hard on their hips and if a car is too low they have knee trouble getting out and they dont bend well so they must have leg room so pull the seat back and its usually easier to use a van if possible.
I bought a Toyota Rav4 for my Mother in Law. It is easy to slide in rather then have to sit ';down'; into a sedan. Also in rain or snow, it has 4wd so safety is another factor. Price is attractive and has a lot of room for storage.
Shop around and sit in them all. A 4 cylinder is quick and peppy and real cheap on gas.
Always get a 4 door. 2 doors are big and heavy, passengers have to crawl into the backseat and the 2 back doors are perfect for shopping.
Never buy a two door.
The doors are big and heavy.
Hard to open in a regular parking
space, like at grocery store or mall.
Dodge Sports Caravan - Chrysler Product - dependable - also four door - room for a wheel chair in the back.
The ride is like sitting in your living room.
DeeJay.
Honda, especially the Civic, I have 3 of them and kept each to over 100,000 miles. Never kept an American car that long.
I have always gone for large toyotas as they are comfortable, easy to drive and very reliable.
When i worked as a driving instructor i spent all day in a Honda civic Loved it the school is owned by Ford The best little work horse on the market See consumer reports
Honda Civic or Accord-very nice and reliable.
Anything American
I think its what ever feels right to the driver. I'm comfortable in a mid size car ( which I have ) or a jeep.
Does any one have any advise on coordinating an office move?
Hi, I will be coordinating an office move for 30 people, move date is in May. Whilst I have coordinating a smaller office move 6 years ago I am keen to make a good impression as I am working for a new employer. Does anyone know of any websites or have any spreadsheets they would be able to forward me covering the logistics? Thank you for your help!!!Does any one have any advise on coordinating an office move?
You might be a bit late (too learn ) for this project but you could try using MS Project software.
You can use it to produce gant charts and show dependancies between tasks, and to set milestones.Does any one have any advise on coordinating an office move?
You'll enjoy this project - I did it a few years ago for about 30. The only advice I can give is that you be 100% methodical and use a fairly complex spreadsheet of tasks and dates. Enjoy it - it's fun!
yes make sure your computers are up and working and your lines are all connected the heating is operating and in fact all utilities are functional then the rest is easyhow to apply
I am really confused on what to do about this guy--PLEASE advise?
I was slowly getting to know a mutual guy friend b/f summer started. I facebk'd him and he told me to IM him instead. I did so and we have had about three IM convos. Any advise on supplements to take for PCOS, regulate insulin, increase fertility?
You are half way there by understanding the link between PCOS and insulin. There is so much information about PCOS that it won't all fit here. If you are serious about fixing it naturally you need to educate yourself. I suggest the guidance of someone who has solid knowledge of both natural remedies and PCOS. They will simply be for guidance as you learn what you need to know about your body and this condition. Dietary changes, lifestyle changes and natural remedies can work beautifully here. If you want to read up here is some info you may find helpful
Does anyone know of any sites that would advise me on how to become a storm spotter with the weather service?
You can become a storm and tornado spotter and reporter to report bad weather. You can take free class thet are held in certain locations near you every year:
http://www.weather.gov/skywarn/
http://www.skywarn.org/
http://www.stormready.noaa.gov/contact.h鈥?/a> (Go here for scheduled classes near you)
What is SKYWARN?
The effects of severe weather are felt every year by many Americans. To obtain critical weather information, NOAA's National Weather Service (NWS), part of the U.S. Department of Commerce, established SKYWARN with partner organizations. SKYWARN is a volunteer program with over 230,000 trained severe weather spotters. These volunteers help keep their local communities safe by providing timely and accurate reports of severe weather to the National Weather Service.
Although SKYWARN spotters provide essential information for all types of weather hazards, the main responsibility of a SKYWARN spotter is to identify and describe severe local storms. In the average year, 10,000 severe thunderstorms, 5,000 floods and more than 1,000 tornadoes occur across the United States. These events threatened lives and property.
Since the program started in the 1970s, the information provided by SKYWARN spotters, coupled with Doppler radar technology, improved satellite and other data, has enabled NWS to issue more timely and accurate warnings for tornadoes, severe thunderstorms and flash floods.
SKYWARN storm spotters are part of the ranks of citizens who form the Nation's first line of defense against severe weather. There can be no finer reward than to know that their efforts have given communities the precious gift of time--seconds and minutes that can help save lives.
Who is Eligible?
NWS encourages anyone with an interest in public service and access to communication, such HAM radio, to join the SKYWARN program. Volunteers include police and fire personnel, dispatchers, EMS workers, public utility workers and other concerned private citizens. Individuals affiliated with hospitals, schools, churches, nursing homes or who have a responsibility for protecting others are also encouraged to become a spotter.
How Can I Get Involved?
NWS has 122 local Weather Forecast Offices, each with a Warning Coordination Meteorologist, who is responsible for administering the SKYWARN program in their local area. Training is conducted at these local offices and covers:
* Basics of thunderstorm development
* Fundamentals of storm structure
* Identifying potential severe weather features
* Information to report
* How to report information
* Basic severe weather safety
Classes are free and typically are about two hours long. To find out when a SKYWARN class will be conducted in local your area, contact your local Warning Coordination Meteorologist at: http://www.stormready.noaa.gov/contact.h鈥?/a>Does anyone know of any sites that would advise me on how to become a storm spotter with the weather service?
I'm not sure about this, but check www.weather.com. They should have something.
Need advise on fostered skittish poodle who does #1 / #2 in the living room.?
Miniature poodle was like this when i got him. Tail in between the legs, jumps scared of anything, and i believe has separation anxiety since he is left alone for 8 hours inside the house. Will be getting a second dog to keep him company. Please write your thoughts on how to train him because I want to keep him. Hopefully he will not destroy my living room today.Need advise on fostered skittish poodle who does #1 / #2 in the living room.?
TAKE IT OUT EVERY MORNING!!!
every time you see it doing that scram at it. it will grab its attention then take it out side watch it until it goes tell it very good (maybe even give it a treat) then take it back inside keep doing this until it gets the hang of. soon enough it will come to you and pretty much tell you they have to go. i train my dogs that way so when they have to go they tell me!
HOPE I HELP :)Need advise on fostered skittish poodle who does #1 / #2 in the living room.?
the only thing i can think of is if you walk him everyday for an hour. with this he should be able to trust you. as for getting another dog i think you should get one that is curious yet playful. shy but friendly. so that he doesn't have a massive capacity of energy that it may freak your dog out even more. as for seperation anxiety i think that the symptoms of having that is by accidents in the past, barks when you leave. you know things like that you can heal by letting the poodle have access to a yard with a fence so they can burn that energy or anxiety that they have. maybe its even the enviroment hes in. like too hot too cold threatning sound like barking car noises yelling this may seriously discomfort your dog. but as i said you can burn that energy by having him walk once a day everyday for an hour. this should help:)
Why is he loose in the house? Since he isn't housebroken, he needs to be crated while you are gone. Here is a guide to crate training:
https://pawsandlearn.org/Crate_Training.鈥?/a>
Walk him for at least a half hour before you leave in the morning. This gives him time to eliminate. Leave a tv on low for background noise while you are gone and a tshirt you have worn overnight in the crate with him so he has your scent. As soon as you get home, take him outside to go to the bathroom. When you get back in the house, close every door except the room that you are currently in. If he starts to go, clap to distract him, scoop him and race him outside. Praise and treats when he goes outside. Walk him longer in the evening before crating him for the night. The more exercise he gets, the less anxious he will be. Crating will stop any eliminating and destruction. You have a very high strung, high energy breed. You need to solve the problems with him before getting another dog or the new dog will learn his bad habits and you will have twice the trouble.how to apply
Any advise with travelling with a 2 month old?
having a 12 hour flight then a 7 hour flight from australia to uk.Any advise with travelling with a 2 month old?
Geez, some RUDE answers here. Parents of infants need to fly sometimes too!!!
Anyway, I've flown often from Puerto Rico to California since my daughter was 2 months old. With layovers and the all-too-common delays, my travel time was similar to yours! We did really well, since I planned carefully.
If you're breastfeeding, that really makes it easier. All my daughter did at that age while flying was nurse and sleep! :) Bring a pacifier if you use them, since they need to be drinking or sucking during takeoff and landing because of the pressure.
Bring an empty water bottle if you're nursing, then ask nicely to have it filled so you don't dehydrate. I find that attendants and fellow passengers are mostly really nice about being on a flight with an infant! I've even been seated near other parents who volunteered to bounce my daughter on their laps to let me eat a quick sandwich or go to the bathroom. A big smile and ';please'; go a long way!
Wear a wrap or sling so your hands are free to drag luggage or carryons, and so you can cuddle baby on the flight without your arms falling asleep. Your baby will feel more comforted being so close to you in such a crazy setting anyway.Any advise with travelling with a 2 month old?
Make sure the baby is sucking either a bottle or a soother during takeoff and landing -- bring along some lotion -- airplane air drys out their skin something awful -- bring more clothes in your carryon or diaperbag than you think you will need -- they will get sweatier than normal and just like us fresh clothes perk them up -- a few extra blankets for the air conditioning perhaps. That's all I can think of -- I have taken 4 hour flights with babies but nothing longer.
Yes i agree with the comment on how people are being rude about flying with a child. I would keep the baby in a sling so that I would have my hands free and give him something to play with. For the most part, hopefully he will be sleeping. If anyone turns up their noses to your cause you have a baby, shame on them. I hate it when people look at you funny cause the baby is crying or just cause a baby is present. Being a mom takes alot of strength. Enjoy your trip!
Double check with the airline before u go, I know people who booked a bassinet seat and then didn't get one!! Are u B/F...let baby suckle on take off/landing...it'll help the ears equalise. Take what u need, but ask airline what they provide too (they usually give u nappies/wipes etc). Ignore the looks of fellow passengers who groan at the sight of a baby. And take offers of help from staff and passengers, its a long haul , esp if ur on ur own! Good luck!
Make sure he is fed, changed etc as to stop his crying as much as possible. What does he like to do? Has he got a toy he chews on or holds (bring it if he does). You may be lucky and he will sleep most of the time...
earplugs.
for everyone on the plane
yea. DONT. 19 HRS on a plane will be torture for that baby
